Make Yourself a Dang Quesadilla. 

Fire up the grill - we're making steak quesadillas that'll surely be Napoleon Dynamite approved. From the carne asada marinated Certified ONYA® Skirt Steak, to the jalapeño cream sauce, this recipe is packed with flavor and overflowing with cheesy goodness. This quick and easy meal makes an excellent option for everything from a weeknight meal to a tasty appetizer at your next backyard grill out.

Carne Asada Marinade:

• Cilantro

• 3 cloves garlic

• 1 Tbsp cumin

• 2 Tbsp soy

• 1 tsp salt

• 1 tsp pepper

• 1/2 cup neutral oil (I used peanut)

• Juice of 1 lime

Jalapeño Cream Sauce:

• 1/4 cup Mayo

• 1/4 sour cream

• 1 Tbsp jalapeños

• 3 Tbsp jalapeños juice (you can use more if you want it more runny)

• 1 tsp paprika

• 1 tsp cumin

• 1 tsp onion powder

• 1/2 tsp granulated garlic

• 1/4 tsp salt

• 1/4 tsp chili powder


• Marinate your skirt steak in Carne Asada marinade above

• Make your jalapeño cream sauce

• Sear your steak 2 min each side till medium rare

• Cut across the grain into bite size pieces

• Make your quesadilla

• Tortilla, cheese, steak, cheese, jalapeño cream, tortilla

• Serve with more jalapeño cream and enjoy!
